Bandsaw Set Up

I finally got my bandsaw set up this week and the bandsaw blades came in too. I have ordered a variety of blades ranging from 1/4", 4 tooth skip tooth to 3/4" fast cuts with a variety in between in both variable tooth patterns and widths. The first blade I tested is a thin kerfed, fast cutting blade and I plan to run it until I feel it is no longer suited to the work. So far I have ripped and crosscut softwoods like spruce and pine and then 1/2" and 3/4" birch plywood and 3/4"Malaysian plywood. I had some rough-sawn yew 7" deep and the saw ran through it like a hot knife through butter. I had some short stems of ash and holly and took them from the round into squared stock. The ash was really beautiful and clear and I gained some 5/8" by 2 1/2" lengths and then a 1 1/2" 2 1/2" section. The holly I converted to sections also, of similar sections to my ash. Then I sliced some 3mm thick slices for inlays and such.
