Bench Work Today

It's a bright sunny morning and I am about to start working on the workbench in my back garden (yard US) again now that the Foundational Workshop Part III is done and my students are gone.
I will probably post on more of my progress this evening, but mostly I will be planing and gluing up components for legs and aprons and such. Of course filming is par for the course and that slows me down a bit but apart from waiting for glue drying I can make one of these pine benches in a long day.

When I have all of the parts laminated ready for joinery we will start mortising the legs and forming the cross-rail tenons too. This evening I will post on the tools I will be using but you will need nothing expensive or fancy. Just ordinary everyday tools and a little sweat equity!
See you later!
NOTE:Just so you know, this is an older workbench series. Paul has a newer Workbench series. If you are interested in the updated version of Paul’s workbench please click the button down below. This page links to a cutting list, tools list, FAQS and much more.
