Most unique plane - ever seen a Spill Plane being used?

I believe this is the only plane designed to produce a shaving as the finished product. It's quite unique, but I have several of them. I found this one on eBay. It was described as a toothing plane but I could see that that was not what it was as soon as I saw it and so I bought it. Turns out it worked straight out of the box.

From lighting to candles to cigars and lanterns and taking fire from fire grates to smoking pipes and so on, this was the means to get fire from one source to another.
